Cibas (Creative Industries Business Advice and Skills) is an organisation that aims to help creative practitioners and small creative businesses. We were asked to redesign their website, and in the process, create some exciting tools and opportunities for the future of the organisation.
The new website had a number of roles to fulfil. Firstly, it had to give the organisation a tool that allowed them to quickly and simply publish exciting, relevant or important information. Secondly, it had to give users a choice in how they browsed this content, through the use of filtering and tags. Finally, the site also had to create an alternative revenue stream through subscriptions for premium content.
The final site uses a number of techniques that combine to create a site that displays relevant information which is easy for the user to navigate. We used filters, tags and a search facility to enable users to quickly find what they're looking for. We then introduced social sharing functionality (facebook, twitter, email etc.) that allows users to share content they find interesting. Finally, we configured the site to allow users to sign-up to premium content, and in due course, for the site to take monthly payments for access to this premium content. With all features and content controlled through our powerful, logical and easy to use content management system, the end result is a great site and a delighted client.Visit Website
